My guest works in the assistant living field and is studying the effects of our live as we age.
Jen Awinda runs a assistant living facility and witnesses first hand the effect of our lives as we age. Jen talked about some the common effects such dementia and the many factors that may lead to developing the disease. From diet to the wrong style of exercise we touch on many different triggers. We discussed the different between dementia v. Alzheimer's . We looked at what changes we could make to slow dementia. We also, chatted about the topic of assistant living and how the system needs to be planned for and how we are throwing away our elderly and not making sure that they live their last days to years in comfort and support.
