Lance and I talked about his young days growing up in the state of Hockey. Overcoming struggles in life and having the right people in his corner along the way. We chopped it up about our Gopher days and me washing his dirty workout clothing. (actually I did the whole team's laundry) Lance reminisced about having about his college recruitment, signing to play for the Gophers , being drafted by the Northstars and signing elsewhere to start his pro journey. List all the ups and downs and how his wife stood by his side to encourage him to fighting to play in the NHL. He talked about a cool story of the day of his 1st NHL game. His fight to stay in the league and earning the trust of the new coaches. Plus, he regaled when it was time to leave the game and find the phase and passion in his life.... Training the next generation of players in his family and community. Becoming a never ending resource for young boys and girls can live their dream of College, olympic or professional Hockey.
