We started with Rudy's humble beginnings in Hibbing MN to living his dreams in many different artful outlets.
Rudy speak on being dad and how proud he is of that. To thinking he was going to be a plumber to all the interesting twist and of his life.

In a very deep and touching conversation with Dr. Don St. John we looked at so many effect PTSD from our childhood and the way we were raised. To be honest was very open about the wounds and trauma he suffered as a young person. from the physical abuse of his mother to the emotional abuse at the hand of his father. The trauma also was perpetrated by teachers and by members of his church. The effects on Don were heavy and cause him to self abuse himself in many different forms in different years in his formative years.
Dr. St. John talked about attempts to heal himself , in many different was. finally finding something he was able to latch on to make himself whole. The journey was not pretty and sometimes graphic.
Dr. St. John about the how his life came together after finding his path to connection. Let's face it a lot of us are still struggling with the things that were done to us by parents, siblings, family and friends.
Dr. St. John was able to re-connect with parents before their death and stated that they were all in good place .

I spoke with today's guest from North Dakota on the topic of Personal Safety and Situational awareness. We talked about what lead Beth's journey into Situational awareness and personal safety. Beth also informed us about steps she took after the incident. She felt what she was doing was still not enough and started her company dealing with the topic.
Beth and I also discussed what makes you a soft target and the things you can do to lessen the chance of being a victim of an assault or crime.

Sara's journey is deep for it only to be only for 17years until this point. Sara and I hit all the high notes in her life as we discussed the time for youth Softball to the Pro's.
Sara started her journey as most young people do. By trying out many different sport, but she came to fall in love with Softball very quickly. Even though she continued to play other sports to be a well rounded athlete. This is something many High level coaches and players say that is very important for kids to do.
We talked about her High School years and the backwards college recruiting at the time. She went on to set many High school records at Eagan High School and in the state of Minnesota. Most of them were held by her High school coach at the time.
Sara new at young age she wanted to be a Gopher Player and her came true. We chatted about her time in Maroon and Gold and the Coaches, Players and staff that helped her along the way to be coming a B1G Champion, All B1G and All American. We looked backed at the ups and downs at the U in the first couple of years. (unfinished Business as we would say)
As Sara moved on to the Pro's we discussed that experience and how it shaped her future life after playing in the Pro's. It was a life's dream fulfilled as she got to rub elbows with some the greats of the game.
Sara is now a business owner with her former teammate in Eagan. Also, lives in Eagan with her husband and dog. Strike Zone Sports (SZS) is a Softball trainings center that teaches the skills of Pitching, Hitting and Defense to the next generation players in the state of MN.

My guest works in the assistant living field and is studying the effects of our live as we age.
Jen Awinda runs a assistant living facility and witnesses first hand the effect of our lives as we age. Jen talked about some the common effects such dementia and the many factors that may lead to developing the disease. From diet to the wrong style of exercise we touch on many different triggers. We discussed the different between dementia v. Alzheimer's . We looked at what changes we could make to slow dementia. We also, chatted about the topic of assistant living and how the system needs to be planned for and how we are throwing away our elderly and not making sure that they live their last days to years in comfort and support. This episode cover two of the most talk about topics in College athletics today. I hope it brings a greater understanding of the Topics N.I.L. and the Transfer Portal.
Jeremiah and I began our conversation with a brief background listing of his life.
From we talked about what a compliance officer and in an Athletic Dept and what role they play in the everyday function of the dept. We chatted about what lead him to the calling in his life.
Jeremiah answered my question in great detail, on what is N.I.L.? Also, the do's, don'ts and mis-info out there about N.I.L. He them explained what schools and Athletes are allowed to create a deal that would bring money for service for the athlete. Jeremiah, looked at through prisms if he was still an athlete or Coach. We discussed how you as an athlete can get a N.I.L. deal and people on the other side who are hiring the athletes and what way.
Lastly, we touched on the other topic that is causing an uproar in college sports, the Transfer Portal. It's not a place, but Jeremiah does where it does exist and how athletes and Colleges use it.

GaKnew is a man of the street of L.A., but he is also, an Author, Music performer, an Activist , Social worker, parent and deep thinker.
Gaknew and touch on all the topics that make him multi threat in the world of Social work. He can reach through so may forms of access.
We began our discussion with getting some background on his childhood. Being from a single parent home he describe how it being raised by is very young mother. He fell in love the music of the streets, rap and Hip-Hop. GaKnew started on the path of becoming a Rap Artist and then found that he was better suited for the world of spoken word and poetry. GaKnew entered into slams and contests to hone hi kraft. As he performed more and more he caught the eye of a social worker who believed he could be a conduit to reach young people struggling out on the streets of L.A. As he learned more and about out reach and activists, he wanted to become one. He found the road was not easy, but he endured and was finally hire to do social work. Helped connect youth to ways to stay out of the system. GaKnew, wanted to help those in the juvenile system. He became an educator and also earned a degree in psychology. GaKnew has written a book entitled "Under the Influence". A tale of about the system and it's pitfalls.

Clint described his life as an action Motor Sports performer. The Ups and downs of building his career in action sports. How he handled the stress of being a performer and Producer. Clint talked about what drew him in as a young boy. We also chatted on how the motorcycle tricks have change of the years, from evil Knievel to now. How how he delt putting his life on the line to make money as a flow junkie. I got to catch up with an old fried for this Episode. Matt is an Certified Athletic Trainer. We caught up with the on the families and we discussed what is a Athletic Trainer and what do they do? From there we talked about the route one takes to become an Athletic Trainer. We chatted on why he choose to become one. Next Matt and I talked about the relationships an Athletic Trainer has with their Coaches, Athletes and other staff and why it's important to have those. We chatted about the Procedures of crisis first aid on the field. Matt filled in the blanks of what EAP is and why every Team, School and rec center need to have one. We discussed the people in EAP and their role and Athletic Trainers role as the point person. Again it's about the relationships. We finish with what he is doing now at Tria Orthopedics and what they can offer from the serious athlete to the weekend warrior.

This show 100, when yo count the first couple of attempts best, lost episodes and all the interviews over the years. This is a Milestone I was told by many I wouldn't get to.
I start off with snippet of conversations with former Gopher Willie Burton on rising thru the ranks to the NBA and national broadcaster Anne Montgomery on the effects of sport on youth.
